News script bug fixes and OpenID planning

Sun, 24 Dec 2006

It's 24th Dec, and here is the patch for version 1.3.2 of the news script. If you haven't ever used the custom publishing date feature or bothered about W3C HTML standard compliance, you wouldn't notice the problems :P

The concept of OpenID is so interesting that I'll probably implement it in the next major version of the news script, say 2.0, to provide multi-user support. I have already written a basic OpenID client, just for testing purposes. You can try it out here in case you're curious.

Version 2.2 calendar script

Sun, 17 Dec 2006

I've just released a new version of the calendar script, v2.2.0 particularly, with lots of bug fixes. Give it a try if you've been using older versions. There are some new settings in the config.php file as well, so make sure that you read it carefully. There are no big changes in the format of data.txt and style.css, so you can keep your current files.

Well alive

Tue, 5 Dec 2006

Hey, long time! School work has eaten up all of my time recently. I'm going to have Christmas break in a fortnight though, so you may expect some updates for the scripts. I've planned to roll out a new version for the calendar script first to fix some current stupid bugs.
