  1. I am not sure if this was previously reported so I am trying to explain it here.

Starting with the new way Firefox implemented private mode (private window mode) it seems that the login will not work in private mode.

    steps to reproduce:

    1. start private window

    2. close normal firefox window

    3. login through gmail checker

    4. try to open a tab with one of the gmail accounts

result: the user will not be logged but you get to the usual gmail login page.

  3. Hi,

first of all, thanks for this great extension.

On Fedora 18 X86_64 Firefox 21.0 Gmail Checker 2.6.1 ; I still have the problem of multiple notifications caused by multiple windows.

Please let me know I can provide additional information, I'll be happy to help.

  4. Gitr, the cookies are handled differently on private browsing mode. I haven't figured out how to work around this yet.

Edouard, the windows have their own copies of emails. That's why you got that problem. In future release, I can make them share the same set of emails to resolve this problem.

Dew, just replace your copy of users.txt with the original file and your login account will be reset to 'demo/demo'.

  5. NT, thanks for the explanation, I think it's a good idea.

  6. Of all the checkers I have tried, I have found yours to be the most useful and unobtrusive.

Ideally, it would be able to open 2 mailbox accounts at the same time. I work around that by closing one mailbox tab before opening another account.

Any plan to port this to Chrome?

  7. Hi,

First of all, thanks for making this; I've been happily using it for years now...!

I've recently been having problems with the notification pop-ups though. The thing is I use Growl to get my notifications (for gmail and other stuff). I've recently updated FF (now 22.0 on mac OS X 10.7.5) and since then (i.e. since they introduced notifications for download completions, at least I don't remember there were some before), the notifications are not given by Growl but by FF itself. The thing is they don't look as good and they only are available on the very desktop I'm working on.

Would you have any idea how to tell FF to not deal with notifications and leave it to Growl, as it previously did?

(While I'm writing this, I got to think Growl may actually be the problem here...)
