Gmailchecker spinning problem

Tuesday, 14 July 2015

I'm looking into the spinning problem of Gmailchecker at the moment.

Update 19/7:

Please try this version to see if it fixes the problem.

Google also tends to put some agreement page whenever they want you to accept their new terms before you can access your account. This will always break the extension's login process. To resolve this, simply log in to your account from Gmail.com and then accept the terms before using the extension.

  3. Hi -- I just wanted to let you know, that this Gmail problem is also affecting X-Notifier too.It is obviously something with the Gmail site. This just started happening to m,a couple of hours ago.Thank you for this great extension,& your time.P.S.,If people start getting nasty, please ignore them. They're not worth getting a headache over. :)

  4. Thanks! I wonder why google keeps rustling the sheets? They should hire you at 3x your current salary as your add on makes gmail so much more useful than anything they have ever done.

  5. X-Notifier is working fine (as of 1 minute ago)
i suggest installing it as a back up , it has saved me hours being able to switch over to it when this add on is giving problems.

  8. Thanks for trying to fix again. Using Firefox 39.0 which i presume is the problem.
Notifier spinning. Primary e-mail showing pop-up "unable to log-in"
Disabled that and other 2 e-mails register as 0 although emails present

  10. Now,only a couple of my email addresses are working,in both Gmailchecker & X-Notifier.I still believe that this is a Gmail problem,& not an extension or Firefox problem.

  11. I looked in the debug window and see the following message...

    [15.7.2015 16:51:38] REQUIRE DOMAIN: mail.google.com
    [15.7.2015 16:51:38] NOT MATCH: /\.google\.de$/i

    dunno if that's significant?

  14. Appears google has hired more coders from microsoft & trashed the gmail framework!

Running FF37 on Mavericks, so it's definitely NOT a FF or add-on issue.
Thanks to Trinh and hoping it can be sorted out.

  25. I notice the sound notification stops working sometimes. It always works when firefox first loads up but then it can stop working after that. Also deleting emails from the preview list can fail to work. I delete the mail and it disappears but when it auto checks mail the deleted email returns. Only way to fix it seems to be restarting firefox.

  34. This seems to have stopped working for my account with 2 step verification. My other account works perfectly fine but when I try to log in with my 2 step account, it just says "Failed to log in." I deleted that account and tried to re-add it but that did not help. I also made a new app password for Gmail Checker but that also did not help. I tried to get a debug log but none is ever generated.

  35. one problem.
Google Verification code from OTP (6 number digit)is working fine.

but Google Verification code from SMS is not working anymore, after google change that code digits from '000000' to 'G-000000'.

anyway, some of account can login with/without 2step verification or app password.
but some account can't login with/without 2step verification or app password.

it's seems gmail account side diffirence maybe.

but google's new gmail TOS page is shows some of countries Only.

so if you're country's gmail not showing new tos page or something, you're got strucked.
becuase no one know that TOS page url trough.

one of my account can use gmail checker fortunately.
but after reset all gmail checker account settings, that working gmail account also not work anymore to login on gmail checkers.

seems gmail checker can't recognize or sending the 'G-000000' verification code from SMS.
    (before changed, that works)

  36. i've test on new FF profile, but still same.

    Windows 7 SP1 64bit
    FF 39.0 32bit
    FF's general.useragent.locale - ko
    gmail account's locale - ko
google account's verification - one is SMS code, one is Google OTP app

google app passwords seems not variable of this issues.

work account is just works neither use 2nd verification or not use.
same as not work account either.

log-in side problem and SMS code problem is priority i think.

  37. mine doesn't work. i'm currently using

    FF v39
    Gmail Checker 2.6.6
2-step enabled for my account. i can send full log if you want.

and i'm seeing this error in the log files.

    <span id="inge" style="display: none" role="alert" class="error-msg">
Sorry, Google doesn't recognize that email. <a href="https://accounts.google.com/SignUpWithoutGmail?EmailAddress=">Create an account</a> using that address?
    </span>
